How to disable the Dolphin Help & Welcome message on startup

Turn off the Dolphin Help on Startup Using the Built-In Options or Enterprise Configuration

Overview

Some users prefer to streamline their workflow by disabling the Dolphin Help welcome message that appears when launching the application. Dolphin provides multiple ways to control this behaviour, whether you want to disable it directly from the welcome window, through EnterpriseConfig.exe, or via the Windows Registry for enterprise‑wide deployment.

This article explains each method clearly so you can choose the one that best fits your environment.

Disabling the Startup Welcome Message

1. Using the Welcome Window Checkbox (Quickest Method)

When the Dolphin Help welcome screen appears, you’ll find a checkbox at the bottom of the window that controls whether the message appears again.

Steps:

  • Launch Dolphin Help

  • On the welcome screen, scroll to the bottom

  • Uncheck the option to stop the message from appearing at startup

  • Continue normally — the setting is saved automatically

This is ideal for individual users.

 

2. Using EnterpriseConfig.exe (Recommended for Administrators)

EnterpriseConfig.exe allows administrators to enforce settings across all users on a machine or across an organisation.

How to Open EnterpriseConfig.exe

EnterpriseConfig.exe is located inside the Dolphin Snova installation directory. The exact folder depends on the major version you have installed.

  1. Open File Explorer

  2. Navigate to:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Dolphin\SnovaXXXX\

    Replace XXXX with the major version number installed on your system (e.g., Snova2501, Snova2600, etc.)

  3. Locate and run EnterpriseConfig.exe

Setting to Disable the Welcome Message

Inside EnterpriseConfig.exe, look for:

  • Disable Startup Welcome Message

Enable this option to prevent the welcome screen from appearing for all users governed by the enterprise configuration.

This method is ideal for managed environments or multi‑user systems.

 

3. Using the Windows Registry (Advanced / Enterprise Deployment)

Administrators can also disable the welcome message directly through the Windows Registry.

  • Registry Path:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Dolphin\SnovaSuite2501\Config

  • Value Name:

    DisableStartupWelcomeMessage

Adjusting this value allows you to enforce the setting system‑wide. This is useful for scripted deployments, GPO distribution, or automated configuration tools.
