Using Microsoft OneCore voices in SuperNova and Dolphin ScreenReader.

This article describes how to enable the Microsoft OneCore voices in SuperNova, which are built into Windows 10 and later operating systems.

Enable OneCore Driver

  1. Press CTRL + SPACEBAR to open the SuperNova Control Panel.
  2. Press ALT + G to open the “General” menu
  3. Choose “Advanced Options
  4. Choose “SAM Setup
  5. In the list of speech and Braille drivers that opens, choose “Microsoft OneCore” and ensure the checkbox is checked (a “1” will appear in the “Units” column).

Select Synthesiser

  1. Press CTRL + SPACEBAR to open the SuperNova Control Panel.
  2. Press ALT + S to open the “Speech” menu
  3. Choose the “Synthesiser Configuration” page.
  4. Choose the “Select Synthesiser” button
  5. Choose “Microsoft OneCore” from the list of available synthesisers.
  6. Choose OK.

Choose Voice

  1. Press CTRL + SPACEBAR to open the SuperNova Control Panel.
  2. Press ALT + S to open the “Speech” menu
  3. Choose the “Voice and Language Configuration” page.
  4. Choose a voice to use from the "Voices” list box.
  5. Choose “OK”.
