“A referral was returned from the server” error message is displayed when launching SuperNova?

When you launch SuperNova following installation you may get the message “A referral was returned from the server". This message is caused by an out of date or missing root certificate being installed on the operating system.

To resolve the issue install the correct root certificates.

For SuperNova or ScreenReader version 18.04 or later download and install the Code Signing - Intermediate and Root certificates from:

For SuperNova or ScreenReader version 18.03 or earlier download and install the R1 and R3 GlobalSign certificates from: https://support.globalsign.com/customer/portal/articles/1426602-globalsign-root-certificates

Once installed SuperNova should launch without error.
