Does SuperNova work on a Windows Arm device?

New laptops or tablets on the market may mention the Windows on Arm ecosystem.

Arm is a computer processor architecture that powers many portable electronics, most commonly smartphones. Recently it has made its way into laptops and tablets rather than the x86 architecture offered by intel and AMD.

Unfortunately due to its design for portable designs like smartphones SuperNova is not supported on Arm devices.

We’ve found that adjusting the Windows on Arm emulation settings allows SuperNova to provide limited access on Arm devices:

  • Locate the SuperNova / ScreenReader shortcut on your desktop.

  • Right-click the shortcut and choose Properties.

  • Open the Compatibility tab.

  • Under Windows on Arm, select Change emulation settings.

  • Switch the emulation mode from Default to Safe emulation.

  • Click OK to save your changes.

Note: We do not currently support Arm, so not all features will work as expected
