We believe that a connection issue to the Bookshelf servers can result in the Bookshelf module failing to start which will in turn prevent GuideConnect from loading.
Our developers and test team are investing the root cause of this issue and are implementing a solution to prevent this from occurring in future. The fault can occur intermittently and launching GuideConnect at a later time or day may resolve the error.
If you do not use the Books feature of GuideConnect or if you do not want to use it at the current time then the module causing the issue can be removed by carrying out the following:
- Navigate to the GuideConnect program directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dolphin\GuideConnect".
- Delete or move (if you want to restore the module later) the "BookshelfModule.dll".
- Once removed you will be able to launch GuideConnect.
