SuperNova Licenses cannot be moved. However, you can use an activation to unlock SuperNova on a new machine.
SuperNova licenses are based on activations, which are used when you unlock the software on a new machine. A standard purchase includes 3 activations. If you need to switch machines or make hardware changes, you'll use an activation. Unused activations are refunded after 6 months.
For businesses or educational settings needing SuperNova on multiple devices, consider SuperNova Enterprise or Professional, which are licensed per user instead of per activation. Contact Sales at info@yourdolphin.com to inquire.
To install and activate SuperNova on a new machine please follow the steps below:
- You will need the installation media for the edition and version you use eg. SuperNova Magnifier and ScreenReader 23.02. SuperNova installers can be found here: Legacy Downloads
- Once installed you will be asked for your unlock code. You should have this on an email sent to you when you originally purchased SuperNova. It should be 25 digits long. If you cannot find this then you should be able to locate it on the original device it was used on.
- Go to file explorer and follow the pathway C:\ProgramData\Dolphin. Here you can open the file "authorise.ini" which should contain your serial number and then your unlock code.
- If it is 26 digits long you can remove the first digit to grab your unlock code. The unlock code 200000-00000-00000-00000-00000 would need the two at the beginning removed to create your 25 digit unlock code.
- Once your unlock code is entered it will ask you to activate the product manually or using the internet.
- If you have internet access then use this method as it is much faster and will get you ready to use SuperNova much quicker.
- If you select manual activation you will need to contact Support at support@yourdolphin.com with the product key that is displayed on screen. We will give you an activation number. You then type this into the product, which activates it.
When this has been successfully activated your remaining activations will be shown and you will be all ready to continue using SuperNova on your new device.
