Magnified Text is not as clear in web browsers as in other applications

TrueFonts is not currently supported in modern web browsers due to the rendering engines used to render the page content

A workaround for this issue that may help with some web content is to enable Internet Explorer Mode in Microsoft Edge.  Please note that this will not work with all web pages, and is only recommended for use on web pages that are used frequently, and that are supported with IE.

Enable Internet Explorer Mode in Microsoft Edge

To turn on Internet Explorer mode, use the following steps. 

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Press ALT + D to navigate to the address bar.

  3. In the address bar type edge://settings/defaultbrowser and then press Enter.

  4. Select "Allow" for Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer.

  5. Restart Microsoft Edge.

View a website in Internet Explorer Mode

Internet Explorer mode is now enabled. To view a website using Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge, use the following steps.

  1. Navigate to the website you want to view in Internet Explorer mode.

  2. Press ALT + F to open the Settings and more menu.

  3. Select Reload in Internet Explorer Mode.
    If you are on Microsoft Edge version 92 or earlier select More tools > Reload in Internet Explorer Mode.

Select a website to always display in IE Mode

  1. Navigate to the website you want to view in Internet Explorer mode.
  2. Press ALT + D to navigate to the address bar.
  3. Press SHIFT + TAB until you reach the Internet Explorer Mode.
  4. Press ENTER to open the "Internet Explorer mode" menu.
  5. TAB to "Open this page in Internet Explorer mode next time".
  6. Press ENTER to toggle the option on, then TAB to the "Done" button and press ENTER.
