I have started experiencing accessibility issues with the new Adobe Acrobat interface

The new Acrobat interface appears to have introduced issues with font clarity while using SuperNova / ScreenReader

We are aware of this issue that seems to mainly be affecting menus in Acrobat, and are actively looking into possible solutions. For the time being there are a number of workarounds that you could try:

Use Standard Font Smoothing instead of TrueFonts in Adobe Acrobat

The issue appears to only occur when using TrueFonts smoothing in the new Acrobat interface, you could try switching to Standard Font Smoothing instead:

  1. Go to SuperNova / ScreenReader's control panel.
  2. Open the Visual menu and select Advanced Options (ALT + V, A).
  3. Go to the Magnifier page
  4. In the Font Smoothing section, select Standard

Revert back to the old Acrobat interface

You can revert back to the old Acrobat interface by opening the 'Menu' drop-down menu located in the top left corner and selecting the 'Disable new Acrobat Reader' option

Use our accessible solution: Dolphin SuperNova Doc Reader

If you have downloaded the PDF, you are able to open it with our accessible document reader; Dolphin SuperNova Doc Reader.

  1. Right click on the PDF file (SHIFT + F10)
  2. Select the Open With option
  3. Select Dolphin SuperNova Doc Reader
