My tablet running SuperNova gets slower and more unresponsive over time

We have identified a memory leak when using screen rotation on a tablet with SuperNova 21.03

If screen rotation is enabled on your tablet device the more it is used without being completely shut down and restarted (not just switched off with the power button) the more you may notice performance issues such as applications taking much longer to launch and various actions taking longer to perform.  We have identified that these performance issues are caused by a bug in SuperNova causing memory to leak which over time leads to the device having insufficient memory to work at its optimum level.  Our developers are working on a fix for this issue which will be delivered in an upcoming release.

For anyone experiencing this issue in the short term we recommend that you enable the screen rotation lock and ensure this remains in place.  To enable the screen rotation lock you need to carry out the following steps:

  1.  Open the Windows Search.
  2. Type orientation.
  3. Open the 'Change the orientation of the display'.
  4. Scroll down to 'Rotation lock', and set this to 'On'.
  5. Now restart Windows.
