Disable Features in SuperNova and Configure Firewall Settings
Overview
IT Administrators can disable specific SuperNova features to restrict user access. This article explains how to disable features, deploy settings across multiple systems, and configure firewall access for certain SuperNova services.
Resolution
Disable Features
- Navigate to the SuperNova installation directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Dolphin\Snova___ - Run the application:
enterpriseconfig.exe - On the Features page, adjust the settings for the required items.

- To deploy these settings to multiple users or systems:
- Click the Diagnostics tab in the Enterprise Configuration tool.
- Select Export Settings to save the configuration as a registry key for deployment.
Note: To completely remove access to EasyReader, uninstall the application. The above settings only disable access via SuperNova.
Required Firewall Settings
To enable certain features, allow access through your firewall:
- Product Improvement Program (PIP) and crash feedback system use the Windows BITS service to send data to:
pip.yourdolphin.com(ports 80 / 443) - Hotkey Helper uses:
hotkeys.yourdolphin.com(port 80)
Additional Notes
- Ensure you have administrative rights before making these changes.
- Exported registry keys can be deployed using standard enterprise deployment tools.
